Peak season will definitely make this town more lively with more shops open. We came during early April, and the beaches are empty (which could be great if you prefer to keep the beach to yourself). The drive around the island is interesting as most roads are narrow with hills. Recommend to go with the full insurance option if it's not expensive as precocious. Rooms are so cool, modern and spacious- beds are so comfortable. Complimentary Breakfast every day was amazing! The hotel staff were so wonderful and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. We will definitely be returning next year and staying there every time we come to Mykonos!
